Description
- Indicates the level of corrosion before severe damage occurs, preventing costly downtime and maintenance repairs.
- Reactivity monitoring is an accurate and reliable method of evaluating the quality of air, characterizing the room environment, and evaluating the effectiveness of chemical filters.
- The OG4’s copper and silver sensors measure the rate of corrosion in real-time. An internal data logger stores the results to be accessed through the internet or directly transmit to a process control system. Ideal for control rooms, server rooms, motor control centers, rack rooms, or other areas where corrosion is a concern, the OG4 prompts preventive action before serious problems develop.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Measures airborne corrosion, temp, and humidity to prevent equipment damage.
- Provides real-time data for proactive maintenance.
- Easy, wall-mount installation.
- Remote monitoring via local network or internet.
Installation:
To install a Purafil OnGuard 4000 (OG4), mount it on a clean, secure vertical surface within environmental limits (-10°C to 75°C, 10-95% humidity) using keyhole slots and screws, ensuring it’s near the equipment being monitored for accurate readings, then connect power and network for remote monitoring, with data accessible via web browser.
Installation Steps:
- Choose Location: Select a clean, dry spot away from vibration, ideally near sensitive electronics, within the temperature and humidity ranges specified (14-167°F / -10-75°C, 10-95% RH).
- Mounting: Use the template in the manual (or create one from the rear keyhole slots) to mark and install screws, leaving about 2mm gap from the wall.
- Secure Unit: Place the OG4’s keyhole slots over the screw heads and lower it for a snug, level fit.
- Power & Network: Connect the device to power (various options available) and your local network (Ethernet) for data access.
- Data Access: Access real-time corrosion, temperature, and humidity data via a web browser and set up email alerts for thresholds.
