- Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA), maintenance-free, rechargeable battery. It uses a gel or absorbed glass mat (AGM) to immobilize the electrolyte, making it spill-proof and eliminating the need for water top-ups. A key feature is the internal pressure-relief valve that allows gas to escape safely during charging.
